Welted Wool Cardigan

A forties style, flattering merino wool cardigan designed for Autumn and Winter coverage. Welted details, allude to corsetry whilst providing subtle shaping.

This cardigan, comes with two button options, button at front, for a relaxed yet flattering fit or button to the side for a cinched waisted silhouette. It is designed to finish at the waist.

This style works for most body types, although not recommended for those with a long torso.

Model is size 8 (AU), 167cm tall and wears a Small (AU 8-10, UK 8-10, US 4-6)

Made in Melbourne, Australia, on a hand knitting machine.

If you are considering purchasing your first Voon, we recommend that you email us to discuss sizing and fit and any other questions you may have.

Caring for Your Knits
  • Gentle hand wash in cool water with a Woolmark approved detergent.
  • Remove excess water by pressing garment between a towel.  
  • Dry flat in shade.  
  • Iron on setting recommended for fibre, for blends, choose the lowest setting.
  • Do not tumble dry.

Love at first sight

I fell in love with this cardigan the first time I saw it but it didn’t come in my size so I decided to email Wendy to ask if she could make one for me and ship it to New Zealand, the reply was yes!!
I love the different ways you can wear it, it’s soft and warm, and the detailing beautiful.
Thank you Wendy for creating such a gorgeous garment, I’ll be wearing it for years to come.

Welted wool cardigan

I love all my Wendy Voon knits but this cardigan is a real favourite. The ‘forties style ‘ description seems so apt. The Emerald melange colourway is beautiful. The look can be neat or relaxed depending on how it is buttoned. I wear mine with jeans, skirts and dresses. Seriously thinking I NEED a second one.

Beautiful welted wool cardigan

There are three of these cardigans in our family, so you can tell we really love them!

Though it is called a cardigan, it is so elegant and has such beautiful details that I think of it more as a jacket or a short coat.

Two of them, the green and the dark grey, live up here in Brisbane. They are perfect for our weather, as we often need to be taking our outer layers off as the day warms up.

My daughter in Melbourne says hers keeps her wonderfully warm and she especially loves the slightly longer sleeves and the two way button detail.

Both colours are fabulous.

Thank you Wendy for this beautiful design- this cardigan has brought me such joy each time I wear it. I love it for the the flattering line and the way it sits with ease on the body- whichever way you choose to wear it. Gorgeously shaped garment - love the fitted waist and the wrapped effect. The knitted fabric is warm and soft. Looks great with jeans and for work (wherever you are working right now!)
